Built by a coach. For coaches.
Every staff deserves possession-level intelligence on every possession — not just a stat line. We turn the official play-by-play of any game into a clear, print-clean story of where it was won, where it was lost, and what to fix next.

Possession-level intelligence, for everyone in the gym
The number doesn't lie, and it doesn't play favorites. We built PBiR so every coach, player, and scout can see the game the way the best film-room minds do — one possession at a time — without spending the night charting it by hand.
PBiR — the PlayBack Intelligence Report
It logs every possession and grades 16 universal basketball events to measure each player's and the team's true impact, then layers on possession efficiency and the Efficiency Thermometer. Same engine, every report — the read just changes per question.
Herman Johnson Jr. — a New Jersey basketball lifer
The Possession Report was founded and built by Herman Johnson Jr. He spent three years at St. Anthony High School in Jersey City under Hall of Fame coach Bob Hurley, three years at St. Patrick's in Elizabeth under Kevin Boyle, and seven seasons as head coach at Northern Burlington County Regional in Columbus, New Jersey — where he coached his son Jayson Johnson, now a marketing manager at New Balance. He also coached with SportsU, one of the top AAU programs in the country. He's the father of Matt Johnson — a two-time national champion at UConn, who coached a season at Princeton and is now an assistant coach at Boston College. He built PBiR to put real possession-level intelligence in every coach's hands.
